DT Research introduces rugged tablet PC

DT Research introduced the rugged, fixed-mount WebDT mobile tablet PC. The device runs Microsoft Windows XP Embedded and Windows XP Professional operating systems. The device meets IP65 standards for dust and drops and is MIL-STD-810F compliant for waterproof operation. It includes an optional uninterruptible power supply and a GPS feature for proper navigation to emergency locations as required by ambulance, police and fire personnel, according to the company. It will be available mid-May and will cost $2600.
