Ericsson announces next-gen base stations

Ericsson unveiled its next-generation radio base stations, the RBS 6000 series, that supports GSM/EDGE, WCDMA/HSPA and long-term evolution, or LTE. According to Ericsson, the series reduces power consumption by 20 to 65 percent compared to the company’s existing radio base stations.
