Fortress partners with Navy on mesh network pilot

Fortress Technologies has partnered with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dam Neck -- a component of the Naval Sea Systems Command -- to deliver a prototype mesh network through a $1.4 million grant. The grant is for the development of 10 prototype secure wireless bridges with software modifications to support advanced meshing capabilities. The project will use the company’s Secure Wireless Bridge as the platform, which is a network access device with built-in FIPS 140-2-validated security.
