Jul 3, 2008 10:11 AM, - MRT

Nagasaki IPC has provided more than 100 LCD touch screen units for Intelligent Devices’ Mobile Data Collection System (MDC) for the state of South Dakota’s snow-plow pilot project. The MDC interface provides drivers with real-time road condition information and the chemical mixture given the current road conditions. Snow plows equipped with the MDC will be able to wirelessly transmit road conditions, mixture information, truck location (through GPS), lane selection, and plow-blade-positioning information back to the home office of the department of transportation, according to the company.
