Quad-band modem unveiled

Ventura, Calif.-based DataRemote launched the CDS-1900 modem, a quad-band GSM/GPRS modem. It uses GSM cell phone technology and an integrated global positioning satellite engine to support remote automatic vehicle location, automatic meter reading and remote equipment monitoring, according to the company.
