AdvanceTec intros speakerphone/base station for iDEN handsets

Feb 17, 2006 11:51 AM

AdvanceTec Industries recently announced the addition of the AdvanceCommunicator, which lets users insert Motorola iDEN handsets into a desktop speakerphone/base station unit that can be used to make both push-to-talk and cellular calls, the company said.

The device can be used as a portable base station or command center when used with a laptop computer or in a command vehicle. It also functions as a standalone unit or can be converted into a computer-assisted communications system via a Windows-based interface that lets users control most calling activity via a mouse. An application designed for first responders lets users record both walkie-talkie and cellular calls. Two models are available: the AT3052 for the i710 and i730 handsets, and the AT3054 for the i760, i850 and i860 handsets. www.advancetec.com
