Strix wireless system deployed during Boston Marathon

Strix Systems announced that its Integrated Wireless Video System was deployed during the Boston Marathon on April 21, 2008, and delivered video-surveillance data to state and local public-safety agencies during the marathon. The platform supports 802.11a, 4.9 GHz, 802.11g and pan-tilt-zoom cameras. In addition, its radios are self-configuring with encrypted Wi-Fi backhaul access to the wireless mesh network, according to the company.
