D-Link adds wireless access point for remote deployment

D-Link introduced the AirPremier 802.11g access point that features an integrated power-over-Ethernet function that enables the unit to be used in remote deployments where power outlets are beyond reach. The access point complies with 802.11x user-based authentication and supports AES encryption as well as the upcoming 802.11i security standard, the company said.
