Researchers transfer power wirelessly

A team of researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Department of Physics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science recently demonstrated a wireless power transfer. The team was able to light a 60 W light bulb from a power source 7 feet away, according to the university.
