Avago launches power amplifier for WLAN devices

Avago Technologies introduced the MGA-412P8, an E-pHEMT power amplifier designed for IEEE 802.11b/g mobile WLAN devices. It can be used in conjunction with RFID transmitters, Bluetooth devices and other applications in the 2.4 GHz band, the company said. The MGA-412P8 provides 25.5 dB gain and a +19 dBm linear power output with IEEE 802.11g orthogonal frequency division multiplexing modulation at a 54 Mb/s data rate. The company said the product has a 3% EVM error vector magnitude while consuming a 95 mA current.
