Boston Marathon runs with wireless video

Strix Systems announced that its Integrated Wireless Video System was used during the Boston Marathon in April to deliver video-surveillance data to state and local public safety agencies during the event. The platform features self-configuring radios that operate on 802.11a/g and 4.9 GHz frequencies; uses pan-tilt-zoom cameras; and provides encrypted Wi-Fi backhaul access to the wireless mesh network, according to the company.
