In the November issue, the story “A Ray of Light” should have said that Kenwood's TK-290 and TK-390 were the first portable radios to be approved in a decade for use in underground mines when the Mine Safety and Health Administration certified them for such use in April 2006. They currently are the only MSHA-approved radios.
