Videoconferencing hits the road with emergency vehicles

Avistar Communications is collaborating with Emergency Vehicle Solutions, an emergency vehicle equipment supplier, to install Avistar's C3 videoconferencing technology into vehicles. The C3 is a software solution that delivers multiparty videoconferencing using off-the-shelf computer hardware. It runs on mobile computers fitted within emergency services vehicles and is supported by wireless network connectivity, according to the company.
