California town deploys Strix Systems’ access points

Strix Systems announced that Pittsburg, Calif., public officials chose its Access/One systems for a wireless mesh network that supports mobile IP-based video surveillance applications. The system operates over multiple radio frequencies including 4.9 GHz, 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. System integrator Odin Systems integrated the access points into bulletproof enclosures with battery back up for communications equipment, cameras, infrared illuminators and other peripheral devices.
