Harris lands San Jose city contract

Harris Stratex Networks landed a $9.1 million contract from San Jose, Calif., city officials to engineer, install and integrate the city’s ECOMM private microwave radio network. Under the terms of the agreement, Harris will supply full maintenance support and services for the ECOMM network during its first year of operation. The emergency communications network supports interoperable communications between law enforcement, fire protection and emergency medical services for 31 different agencies in 18 jurisdictions throughout Santa Clara County, Calif., according to the company.
