San Diego Police Foundation gets $1 million donation

QUALCOMM gave the San Diego Police Foundation $1 million to buy handheld communication devices and geographic-based location equipment. Sixty percent of the donation includes CDMA2000 wireless technologies for police dispatch, which includes GPS position- location and broadband data services.
