RFID adopted by emergency medical responders

VeriChip Corp.’s radio frequency identification (RFID) Patient Identification System now serves emergency medical responders. The company announced it has equipped 27 American Medical Response in the Atlanta metro area with Bluetooth-enabled scanners, in addition to an implantable RFID microchip, and a patient database.
