Sacramento, Calif., implements wireless metering system

Workforce automation developer Itron will provide the Sacramento Municipal Utility District with nearly 550,00 solid-state electric meters that include the company’s Mobile Automatic Meter Reading technology. The system lets utilities collect data from electric, natural gas and water meters automatically via radio signal, according to the company.
