Mar 16, 2006 5:34 PM

Socket Communications and Zoran are developing reference designs for the Zplayer Ultra, an enabled portable media player. The player supports Socket’s SDIO WLAN card that allows enterprise users to download and access multi-modal data from any location that offers Wi-Fi connectivity. It can record and play back video or send the video signal out to a remote TV, said the company. Users also can record and play back files in MPEG4 and MP3 formats.
