Mar 15, 2006 7:57 PM

An ABIReseach report said that by 2010, municipal Wi-Fi networks will cover 126,000 total square miles internationally—most of which will be in the North American and Asia-Pacific markets. A primary market driver is the use of Wi-Fi by local, state and national governments, which are leaning towards the deployment of municipal broadband networks for public-safety communications and to increase government efficiency, said ABI analysts.
