Not-for-profit uses passive RFID solution to track inventory

Science Applications International finished the installation of a second-generation, passive radio frequency identification (pRFID) solution for the National Center for Employment of the Disabled, a not-for-profit corporation that employs disabled workers and manufactures products used by the Department of Defense. The pRFID solution tracks inventory, accountability and U.S. Department of Defense compliance, said SAIC officials. The installation included various pRFID read zones, printer locations, software for managing inventory and data, middleware and handheld readers.
