European county deploys mobile data system for highway maintenance

APD Communications used its e-Government mobile data system to help the Caerphilly County Borough Council maintain its highway network in Wales, U.K. Maintenance vehicles were fitted with GPS devices and tablet PC-style mobile devices that record workflow patterns and then transmits the data in real-time to the council’s customer care call center.
