Eventide announces availability of digital voice logging system

LAS VEGAS--Eventide announced the immediate availability of its recently released VR615 voice logging and archiving system designed for small and mid-sized public-safety organizations. The unit, based on the Linux operating system, is available from 8 to 48 channels or 16 to 32 digital channels; a dual analog/digital version also is available. Standard is a mirrored RAID-1 system with dual 120 GB hard disks that records up to 19,800 channel hours at 13 Kb/s GSM as well as a DVD-RAM system that offers 1,540 recording hours per DVD for archiving. The VR615 also can function as a network server; it can simultaneously accommodate up to 16 users via Windows-based networked workstations.
