M/A-COM lands multimillion-dollar Army contract

Tyco Electronics’ M/A-COM unit won a $7.6 million contract from the U.S. Army for its Project 25IP, trunked radio communications system. The four-site, 49-channel system will operate on the 380 to 400 MHz band and will support more than 2100 troops at the Fort Hood, Texas, military base.
